浙江省杭州市余杭区因其境内的径山寺和陆羽泉而被誉为" 茶圣著经之地、日本茶道之源"。唐朝茶圣陆羽曾在径山作过专门考察，并在径山脚下、苕溪之畔创作了世界上首部茶书《茶经》。在余杭径山镇，至今仍保存有重点文物保护单位--"
陆羽泉"。建于唐天宝初年( 公元742 年)的径山万寿禅寺，曾被列为江南" 五山十刹" 之首。南宋端平二年(公元1235 年，即日本嘉祯元年)，日本圣一国师圆尔辨圆(1202--1280)
来到中国，师从径山寺无准法师。回国后，将径山寺的" 茶宴" 仪式传入日本，逐步演变成盛行至今的" 日本茶道"。因此，径山寺又是日本茶道的发源地。凭着"
日本茶道之源" 和" 茶圣著经之地"，余杭举办中国茶圣节可谓" 师出有名"。
Origin of Tea Saint Festival
Well known for the Jingshan Temple and Luyu Fountain, Yuhang District ofHangzhou
in Zhejiang Province was dubbed as the “original place of Japanese TeaCeremony and
the birth place of the Tea Sutra” . Lu Yu, the tea saint of Tang Dynasty,ever made
aspecial study in Jingshan Mountain and created the Tea Sutra, the world’ sfirst
book on tea, along Shaoxi River at the foot of the Jingshan Mountain. Luyu Fountain,the
key cultural relic site under the provincial protection, is still preserved in JingshanTown
in Yuhang District. Established in the early years of Tianbao Period of Tang Dynasty(742
AC), Jingshan Longevity Buddhism Temple ever ranked the first among the “tentemples
in the five mountains” . In the second year of Duanping Period of SouthernSong Dynasty
(1235 AC, i.e. the first year of Japanese Jiazhen Period), Japanese ShenyiMaster
(1202-1280) came to visit China to learn from Master Wuzun in Jingshan Temple.After
his return to Japan, he introduced the “tea banquet” ceremony of Jingshan Temple
to Japan, which gradually evolved into “Japanese Tea Ceremony” that is stillpopular
nowadays. In this respect, Jingshan Temple is the original place of JapaneseTea
ceremony. As the “origin of Japanese Tea Ceremony” and “birth place of Tea Sutra”
, Yuhang District has sound historic foundation for holding China Tea Saint Festival. |

陆羽( 公元733-804 年)，唐复州竟陵( 今湖北天门) 人。字鸿渐，季疵，一名疾，号竟陵子，桑苎翁，东冈子。陆羽精于茶道，以著世界第一部茶叶专著《茶经》而闻名于世，被后人称为"
茶圣"。
Lu Yu (733-804), an origin of Jingling of Fuzhou (today’ s Tianmenin Hubei Province)
in Tang Dynasty, also named Hongjian, Jichi,Yimingji, Jinglingzi, Sangzhuweng and
Donggangzi, was a master of teaceremony and was well known for his Tea Sutra, the
first book on tea.Lu Yu was respected as“ Tea Saint” by the later generations.
